Robby Lake Music

Mindy A. has had much experience in performing on stage at a young age where she was lead character in plays, winning singing contests and performing on radio at a very young age. She studied acting and vocal techniques at H.B. Studios (Owned and run by Herbert Burgorf and Uta Hagen)
From 1979 thru 1980 she fronted a popular band in N.Y. named, "Honey" and engaged in singing/acting workshops.
Currently I have been Performing Jazz Standards, Showtunes from The 1920's thru the 1960's Swing, Originals, Contemporary Jazz, Blues, Bossa Nova and
Acoustic Easy Listening music., as a duo with Husband and musican Rob aptheker.Robby adds harmony vocals, with the occasional solo and covers all Guitar duties. At this time, due to the bands' inability to find the right Bass player, he has had to take on that job as well.(evident in all of the live and studio recordings)
Robby has performed as a 1-man band, in acoustic duos, bands, as a D.J. and guitar teacher for many years.
The Apthekers have been performing together since 2005. Venues are predominantly private events. Both Minday and Robby have entertained seperately in public venues,prior to collaberating in 2005.
